The newly built wooden house in 2014, in the first row at the marina in Gager on the island of Rügen, opens up new perspectives! The name stands for the exclusive location directly on the water and the dominating element of the holiday home: wood whose structure and color remind of flotsam. Optically inserted perfectly into the idyllic harbor setting, it captivates through the larch wood façade, which has been barked by wind and weather, the open, light-flooded interior design and the interior in the style of Scandinavian minimalism. A dream for individualists who are looking for nature and tranquility and who also value a clear line in terms of design during their holiday.
The idea behind the architectural design is as simple as it is thought-out: a lot of light, the emphasis on visual axes and a restrained, coherent design. The house stands for nonchalance, style and a high feel-good factor.
The reduction to natural building materials and clear, functional structures with many installations create clarity and space. The living space is more than 130 square meters, the spacious main room, including kitchen and dining area, is characterized by an open gallery. The ceiling height reaches here to almost eight meters. All rooms receive light from two sides.
The custom-made Danish windows, some with very large fronts and slate-gray wooden frames, contrast nicely with the white-painted maritime pine panels that cover the interiors. The floor on the ground floor is made of polished screed, on the upper floor parquet is made of brushed, whitewashed oak planks. The entire house can be easily controlled by a floor heating and also offers thanks to the fireplace and the sauna throughout the year a cozy atmosphere. The furniture consists of high-quality designer furniture, the matching color palette can be found especially in the shades of white, gray, mauve and petrol again.
